She's at it again

So I'm wondering what constitutes a trend in behavior?

Because Peanut has done it again. A certain child at the sitter's was apparently not willing to share a couple toys with Peanut this week and so she took it upon herself to bean him with a Little People (Person?).

Should he have shared with her since he is 4 and she's 14 months? Yes. Should she think it is appropriate to throw toys at other children because she doesn't get her way? Probably not.

The sitter told her she isn't allowed to throw things at others (which, by the way, B, we might have complicated since we've been teaching her how to throw). But I'm not really sure what more can be done. She seems to young for time out yet.

It just seems we're coming into that uncharted territory (for us) where it's time to start teaching right and wrong to a child whose best form of communication is barking like a dog, pointing wildly at things and stomping her feet when she doesn't get her way.

This should be fun.

For what it's worth, I don't think 14 months is too young for time out. I started putting my son in time out at 10 or 11 months. Granted, it was for maybe the count of ten, and was reserved for very few, very abhorrent crimes like touching electrical sockets. Or hitting! So you could try it.

I'm with Dr. Maureen. The Boy started having Moments about that age.

Thanks, ladies. Maybe we will try having "moments." We haven't really had to worry about it too much up until now because she listens fairly well. We tell her no, she stops. It's been eerie. She might fuss a bit but she still stops.
