It's that time of year when everyone is coming down off the holiday season. The days are short, the weather rarely great and there are no days off in sight.
So to combat the blah we want to brighten someone's day.
We are stealing an idea from Clueless but Hopeful Mama. She's sending out a package of goodies to help the a winner get through January. We want to do the same. Leave a comment telling us what your favorite goodies are. Do you like green tea? Coffee? Does chocolate perk up your day? What about lemon drops? Cookies? What kind?
Comments will be open from now until midnight Wednesday. Two (2!) winners will be chosen at random. One will get a package from Hillary and the other will get something from me.

Coffee, dark chocolate, Dots would brighten my day any day. But what would send me into absolute bliss would be a movie ticket so I can sneak away alone watch a chick flick and pig out on popcorn and coke.
You guys have such an awesome idea. I think reading all about the kids make you feel comforted knowing other moms' experience the same things you do.
Favorite goodies would have to be apple cider, Butterfinger Crisp, and especially sugar cookies with frosting. Let's be honest, anything with frosting is good. :)

i will never forget the giddiness when i received the BOX of books from hillary right before my surgery. so that goes into my goodies column. and yarn. b/c i would sit & imagine what i would make of it, then realize i can only knit scarves, but i would then knit a scarf. or thick, white bread.

Ginger-y tea, dark chocolate, chewy oatmeal cookies, pretty post-its, nice pens, mail that is just for me and doesn't include a plea (or demand) for money!
(It's kinda cheating for me to enter, isn't it?)
Ummm...I just read Clueless But Hopeful Mama's suggestion of "nice pens" as "nice penis." Not sure how you two would package (pun!) THAT up.
Anyway, I love some chocolate covered pretzels and a trashy magazine.
Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. I also LOVE dark chocolate nonpareils, for some unknown reason. They're really just big crunchy chocolate chips, but YUM.
I'll have to go with surprise packages in the mail. My absolute favorite goodie is one I'm not expecting in the first place.
I love your blog and peek at it from time to time.... Actually, I would love a "tip-page" on the best books written the last couple of years.
Any goodies that come in the mail are a worth a dozen smiles!! I like to order things and have them shipped to work then forget about them and be excited when they show up! ;-) My favorite things are those that sparkle and glimmer! (unique jewelry from etsy of course & sprinkled cookies of any kind) I love my rainy days but of course a ray of sunshine to twinkle the raindrops is a plus anytime & that's just what a little gift does!
Hmm...I loving thinking about gifts -- esepcially if they are potentially for me! I love tea and anything cupcake-related.
Airplane bottles of booze. Tasty stuff like Bailey's and Kahlua for mixing with coffee when you need more than just a little caffeine; vodka and whiskey for the nights when the kid goes to sleep early and it's time to party like you were 21 again...until 9 p.m. when you fall asleep in your clothes.
