Questions and recommendations

1. Good recent book?
I just finished World War Z. It's a zombie book, which is slightly unsettling. If I read too late, I got monkey brain and start thinking about how I would defend my family against the zombiepacolpyse (archery, board up windows, need to start stocking up now on non-perishables.) and then not be able to sleep. It's really about how different countries would respond to an outbreak o f. I really liked it, although I found it disturbing. (A co-worker just told me it is going to be a movie with Brad Pitt as the lead. Awesome)

2. Good music find?
I bought The Lumineers album (which is only $1.99 on Amazon today!) I got one of their singles for free a couple of weeks ago and liked it. Then I heard "Ho Hey" this morning on Vh1.  Their music is American folk rock, which really isn't my thing, but I'm kind of in love with this album.

3. Do you clean your house or do you have a house cleaner? Would you like a house cleaner?
We don't have a house cleaner but I'm beginning to think that it is necessary. We try to vacuum a few times a week. OK, a couple times a week, although it needs done more. We keep things picked up for the most part but not like I would like to (especially with two small children undoing the cleanliness). A full house cleaning does not happen nearly often enough. I was off on Friday and the girls went to my in-laws for part of the weekend. I was really able to clean and felt so much better.

4. Are you willing to admit that you want to go see "Magic Mike"?
Yes. Yes, I am. Now who is going with me?

I just bought that album! It was only 99 cents, so how can you go wrong?
Also, we do not have a house cleaner, but I am thinking about it HARD. It's to the point where I cannot keep up. My husband doesn't have time to do it, and I can't get it done with the time I have left over after chasing around the blond tornado. I think when Eli goes to kindergarten we're going to take that $$$ and spend it on a house keeper twice a month. I can keep up with laundry/cooking/vaccuming/shopping, but stuff like scrubbing the tub and mopping the kitchen is getting away from me.

1. Love lumineers.

2. You vacuum a couple times a week? I'm lucky if I do it twice a month. This is why we have a once-a-month house cleaner.

I am useless on question 1. and 2. I steal your book recommendations and my husband puts music on my iPod for me.

3. I WISH i could vacuum a couple times a week, but my son is deathly (and I mean deathly) afraid of the vacuum. I further wish I could afford a house cleaner, especially now that we live in a bigger house, but two kids in daycare eats my budget. So for now I'm just trying to teach Evan (and the husband) how to pick up after themselves so I don't feel like a stinkin' maid. Maybe maid service will be on my Christmas list this year!

And yes, I'd go see Magic Mike, but I'm more interested in the The Dark Knight Rises later this month.

We don't have a regular housecleaner, but I had a one-time-only clean before Paul's birthday party and it was AMAZING. I've never been so relaxed right before throwing a party - no running around like crazy last-minute cleaning.

I really want to see Magic Mike.

1. I really liked The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I mean, it's not new, but I just now got around to it.
2. I don't think "the new Fiona" counts as a "find."
3. I have neither a house cleaner nor a clean house.
4. I'm going with my moms group tomorrow night because we are clicheeeeeeees.
